Introduction                                                                            newsletter
Hello and Welcome to my little piece of the web.

Each quilt and handmade teddy bear is a unique expression of the maker’s creativity. I believe creativity in any form is food for your soul and that no matter what my fabric stash and love of quilting and teddy creation costs it is still the best although maybe not the least expensive form of therapy available.
I have been quilting for over ten years now. The first years each quilt was either lovingly hand quilted or quilted on my regular sit down sewing machine. I love to piece tops and found I had a small mountain of them that I had made and would probably never get quilted. I set a goal for myself that I would finish all these quilt tops for myself and as gifts for friends and family. I then came to the realization that I needed help if I was to accomplish this objective in my lifetime! That help came in the form of my stand up quilting machine. After lots of practice and hours of enjoying myself more than a person has a right to, I am now pleased to offer quilting services to fellow quilters.
I have won several awards for my quilting in various shows. Quilts that I have quilted for others have also won awards. So you can send me your cherished tops with confidence. Let me help you take control of your growing stash of tops.
I have been creating teddies for almost as long as I have been quilting. To me the two just go hand in hand teddies and quilts/ quilts and teddies. Pictures of my teddies have been featured twice in Teddy Bear Scene teddy bear magazine. I have also had the honour of having one of my bears purchased by the Dancing Bear Folk Art Center and Bear Museum in Wyoming USA. I have sold teddy bears all over the world mostly to the United States, Australia, England, Germany, Belgium, Japan, Sweden and of course right here at home. If you would like to have a teddy made for you or that special some one you can be assured I only use the best quality materials and each one is lovingly created with attention to detail. Check out my pricing page for details.
Whether you are a quilting enthusiast or just love cuddly handmade teddy bears you have come to the right place. Kick off your shoes, grab a beverage and spend some time browsing through my picture galleries. I hope that you enjoy your stay and remember to bookmark my site (there is a clickable link to do that at the bottom of this page) and come back often to see my new creations. Thank you very much for visiting with me.

The Piecemakers Quilt Show is now over and by all accounts a big success. Thank you to all of you who stopped by to say hello. During the course of the show I managed to get 6 quilts quilted for Victoria's Quilts to be delivered to cancer patients.I would like to say a big thank you to the Huron Perth and Stonetown Guild members who supplied the quilt tops, and to Quilters Woodwork in St Marys who supplied the backing, batting and the quilt frame I worked on.
Now with the show over and summer just around the corner I will be spending a lot of time developing new patterns and planning new classes to start up again in the Fall. I will also be doing private classes over the summer for anyone interested just give me call or drop me an email to discuss the details. As I develop a new pattern I will be adding it to the site so check back often.
