Whitework and Trapunto
This workshop will teach the basics of whitework and trapunto. The project we will work on to reach this goal is my Trapunto heart design. The workshop covers a brief discussion on design and where to find inspiration. We also cover marking methods of the top, the trapunto process and how to quilt the trapunto afterwards to get that wonderful trapunto effect. We will practice some of the popular background stitches and get an insite into continuous feathers.
We will discuss shadow trapunto and how to get the effect of colourized trapunto. Each participant will have a finished project to take home with them. The workshop also includes a showing of whitework quilts for the participants to view.
This workshop is suitable for any level of quilter who has some machine quilting experience and is comfortable with the basics of machine quilting.
