This is a view of the twin size Irish chain quilt that I quilted as a fund-raiser for the Stonetown Quilters Guild. I used a machine trapunto technique to quilt the large void areas using a feathered heart motif that had been previously stenciled on by the piecer. The quilt was raffled off as a prize during the Piecemakers quilt show in April 2006. Details
This lone star wall quilt is one of my personal pieces. I drafted the pattern, pieced the quilt and quilted it. The quilting motif of a vase with lots of flowing feathers is also an original design. The star itself is quilted with line dancing technique and the border has a large wavy feather design. This quilt won an honourable mention in the Western Fair quilt competition. Details
This is a queen size spinning star quilt. I quilted it with an overall running vine leaf pattern with a separate pattern in the border. Details
This quilt is a very large king size bedspread quilt that I was commissioned to do from fabric yardage. After piecing the quilt I then outline quilted all the flower motifs. The customer was so happy with the first she ordered a second one exactly the same but with a flannel backing for winter. Details
This quilt is a lovely vintage embroidered quilt that I quilted as a fund-raiser for the Stonetown Quilters Guild. I used outline quilting around the embroidery and filled in the background with a stipple. On the alternate void block I quilted a feather motif and quilted wavy full feathers in the border. Details
This quilt is a beautiful queen size red and white Bears Paw quilt. I quilted feathers in the border and large crossed feathers in the void blocks with a freehand native symbol motif in the paw blocks. Details
This is the first full sized quilt pieced by this customer. For the quilting I quilted a meandering leaf in the border with a feather cross in the star block and a line-dancing motif in the alternate block. Details
This is a twin size “Magic Tiles” stained glass look quilt. I quilted it with a meandering maple leaf in the border and outlined all the stained glass sections in the body of the quilt. Details
This as a Twisted Bargello wall quilt. I quilted it with a free flow design that followed the design of the Bargello piecing with a freehand design continuation into the border. Details
This is a crib quilt Winnie the Pooh panel. I quilted it by outlining all the major picture elements and then used background filler. This quilt was entered in the quilted baby panel section of the Western Fair 2005 and won a second place ribbon. Details
